ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONS COUNCIL: CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT [CPD] & CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS [CEUs]  [CPD Government Notice 39143 28 August 2015]

CPD is compulsory for all professionals registered with AHPCSA and it required to maintain an Individual CPD Activity Record.

TSARS CPD ACTIVITIES FOR MEMBERS REGISTERED WITH THE AHPCSA

TSARS plays a relevant role in the development of professional competences of members through a good choice of accessible ongoing CPD activities to obtain 40 CEU’s per CPD cycle.

National level:  Annual General Meeting / Congress

Branches activities in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Stellenbosch.:  Annual General Meetings,  Workshops, Cases studies, Courses and Formally organised special purpose lectures.

TSARS JOURNAL AND ON LINE MCQ

AHPCSA approved  TSARS Journals and the MCQ as online CPD learning activities for CEUs.

TSARS Journals are published  tri-annually on TSARS website to keeping members informed of developments in the profession and provides  a platform for profession related articles,  news and views.

  • Articles/cases studies relevant to Reflexology treatments
  • Stress management
  • Business management
  • Inspirational material
  • Pathology, physiology and anatomy
  • CEUs are approved for Principal authors; Co-authors and Proof readers of the Journal.
  • Articles/Case studiesthat is relevant to the profession, will be considered for an issue decided upon by the Journal Committee as space and topics allow.
  • Multiple Choice Questionnaires (MCQ) /
  • TSARS members can obtain CEUs by submitting their answers on line via  TSARS website.

September – December: 1st August

January – April: 1st November

May – August: 1st March
