Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa [AHPCSA]

Registration Number

To practise legally a qualified therapist must register with the AHPCSA and may treat or provide treatment for diagnosed disease, illness or deficiencies in humans or prevent such disease, illness or deficiencies in humans.

Board of Healthcare Funders of South Africa [BHF]

Practice number

A practice number is allocated to therapists providing services to private patients and is a legal requirement for the process of reimbursement of a claim to either a medical scheme member or a service provider. [Medical Schemes Act 131 of 1998]

In South Africa various Medical Schemes include therapeutic reflexology therapy in their Benefit Plans since 2016.

In some countries Reflexology is part of the National Health Service.
